The gang attend a party hosted by the Mayor of Saint Denis. While at the party, they meet with Bronte , and look for job opportunities. At Shady Belle , Arthur speaks with Hosea before Dutch appears, saying that they need to go and buy themselves some proper clothing for Mayor Lemieux's garden party that Bronte invited them to, much to Arthur's disbelief. That evening, Arthur, Dutch, Hosea and Bill , all wearing smart tuxedos, are traveling by coach to the party, laughing at the fact that the honored guest is a dangerous crime lord of all people.
Upon arriving the group hand in their weapons before being escorted to the mansion by Luca , a servant. Hosea and Bill go and join the party while Dutch and Arthur meet with Bronte on the balcony. Bronte greets them warmly and starts pointing out and mocking some of the party guests, including Mayor Henri Lemieux , Alberto Fussar , Hobart Crawley and his wife Brenda , Eagle Flies and Rains Fall who are giving a letter to the mayor, and Hector Fellowes whom Bronte suggests Dutch could kill for him some day, to Dutch's disinclination.
Dutch tells Bronte that they need some money, and Bronte explains that the local trolley station should have more than enough cash for them. Dutch thanks him before he and Arthur leave with Luca. Dutch and Arthur head downstairs and meet with Hosea and Bill. Dutch tells Arthur to go and find the mayor, and Hosea to look for another robbery target. Arthur can mingle with guests until he finds Mayor Lemieux near the fountain with some men, which include Evelyn Miller , who is being insulted by a drunken man.
Arthur grabs the man and leads him away from the group. Lemieux thanks Arthur and introduces himself and Miller to him just as the fireworks begin. The mayor's butler, Pierre appears and tells Lemieux that he received a phone call from Leviticus Cornwall. Dutch overhears this and has Arthur follow Pierre to find out about it. Arthur tails Pierre silently through the mansion until they come to the mayor's office.
Once Pierre leaves, Arthur unlocks the desk draw and retrieves some documents the mayor was supposed to sign. Arthur finds the others outside and they leave with two more robberies in mind: a high-stakes Poker game on a riverboat , and the Saint Denis Bank. On their way home, Bill grumpily expresses his embarrassment of the whole thing, believing it to be "torture. The next day, Dutch wakes Arthur up in his room and explains to him the plans for the new robberies, as well as Evelyn Miller and the Indians , who they could try and help.
